Ivy League

Some of the most famous colleges in America, such as Harvard or Yale, are called
an Ivy League school. The Ivy League is a group of some of the most famous and
finest universities in America.
There are only eight schools that are part of the Ivy League, but they are some
of the most important schools. Many of the presidents of the United States
studied at an Ivy League school, for example George Bush and Bill Clinton both
studied at Yale.
You may wonder why they are called Ivy League schools, but the answer is
actually quite simple. Because the Ivy League schools are old, they all have
ivy growing on their walls, and so the league of schools was called the Ivy
League.
